NH Book Festival Welcomes Hank Phillippi Ryan
The New Hampshire Book Festival can’t wait to welcome Hank Phillippi Ryan as our 2025 Keynote interviewer!
Ryan is the bestselling author of 16 psychological thrillers. Her current novel, One Wrong Word, is a twisty story of gaslighting, manipulation, and murder, where crisis management expert Arden Ward has only two weeks to clear her name and untangle the web of lies around her.
Ryan’s accolades for her fiction include five Agatha Awards, five Anthony awards, and the coveted Mary Higgins Clark Award, among others. As an on-air investigative reporter for Boston’s WHDH-TV, she has won 37 Emmys and dozens more journalism honors for her groundbreaking journalism and true crime stories.
Ryan also puts her journalistic and literary skills to work interviewing other authors. For A Mighty Blaze’s weekly Crime Time series, she interviews current suspense, mystery, crime, and thriller authors. And as co-host of The Back Room, she also interviews a wide range of bestselling authors—suspense, historical fiction, beach reads, and more. Ryan also cohosts First Chapter Fun, sprinkling a little joy into every reader’s day, as she and suspense novelist Hannah Mary McKinnon read the first chapter of a new book every week on Facebook and Instagram.
Ryan lives in Boston with her husband. Her next novel, All This Could Be Yours, comes out this September from Minotaur Books. People Magazine says: “A nail-biting thriller.”
Ryan will be interviewing Walter Mosley, our 2025 Keynote Author, Friday evening, October 3, in the Capitol Center for the Arts’ Chubb Theater in downtown Concord, NH. Mosley is the author of 60 critically acclaimed books of fiction, nonfiction, memoir, and plays. He is best known for his character Easy Rawlins, who first appeared in Mosley’s first novel, Devil in a Blue Dress. Don’t miss these two spectacular authors in conversation! Tickets are on sale now.
