Join us in Governor’s Hall on the ground floor of the CCA for a full day of lively discussions with 18 authors from around the country.
9:30 AM – Thrills and Chills: Suspense, mystery, and horror.
10:45 AM – Love & Other Disasters: Tales of the heart that resonate today.
12:00 PM – Family Portraits: Diverse stories with family and mystery at their core.
1:15 PM – Spotlight Conversation: Harry Bliss, celebrated New Yorker cover artist, on his memoir and life’s dramas.
2:30 PM – Unexpected Journeys: Characters navigating quixotic quests and devastated worlds.
3:45 PM – World-Changing Women: Authors shine a light on heroic women from history and fiction.
Poets Return to the Salon
Three poetry panels will grace the Victorian parlors of the Kimball House. With support from the American Academy of Poets, seven poets will read their work. Headliner Poet Jennifer Chang will be interviewed by NH Poet Laureate Jennifer Militello. Chang is the author of three poetry collections, including An Authentic Life, a finalist for both the Pulitzer Prize in Poetry and the National Book Critics Circle Award

9:30 AM – Words, Rhythm, Silence and Songs: Picture books are often described as the crown jewels of children’s literature, but what is it about them that captures the hearts of early readers and listeners?
10:45 AM – Caldecott Spotlight Conversation: Jason Chin and Aaron Becker
12:00 PM – Keeping Secrets: Secrets are never easy to keep, especially in middle school.
1:15 PM – Home: Not as Advertised: How do we define home? The answer to this question has evolved since the beginning of time.
2:30 PM – Out of the Shadows: Women and Girls Taking Chances: True stories are irresistible, especially when their real-life heroines overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges.
3:45 PM – YA Thrills, Magic, and First Love: Suspense, spells, and romance are the perfect draw for YA fans.
